Le sujet Box Up! m’a amené à explorer la dysmorphophobie et de ses enjeux physiologiques et psychologiques qui en découlent. La préoccupation obsessionnelle d’une partie du corps peut engendrer un vouloir à se conformer à une idée déformée de la réalité. Elle nous pousse à se soumettre à des processus toxiques et nuisibles pour atteindre un standard imagé. Une réflexion de soi qui essaie de s’emboîter avec un corps qui semble grossier, déformer et surtout non désirable. Devant le miroir, nu ou habillé, le regard joue avec la tête et l’esprit cherche à la contenir comme il le peut et par tous les moyens.

The topic "Box Up!" prompted me to delve into dysmorphophobia, which gives rise to both physical and psychological challenges. Fixating excessively on a specific body part can drive a strong desire to conform to a distorted perception of reality. This compels individuals to undergo detrimental and harmful methods in pursuit of an unrealistic standard. It's an attempt to mold oneself into a body that appears rough, distorted, and, above all, undesirable. Whether standing in front of a mirror, whether clothed or naked, the gaze captivates the mind, which strives to control it through any means possible.
